TEF is seeking a full-time Interior Designer/Interior Architect Level 1 to join our dynamic practice. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience with a focus on quality design and document production. Candidates should have experience and/or interest in a variety of project sectors and scales as well as a sincere passion for creating innovative and thoughtful design solutions for mission-driven clients. Finally, candidates should be comfortable interacting and collaborating with clients, principals, teammates, consultants and contractors.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design, documentation and execution of a variety of project types, both in collaboration with and independent of architectural/design leadership:
- Programming & Concept Design, including support with space planning, visioning workshops, concept development and programming
- Schematic & Design development, including design concept integration, interior finish selection, furniture selection, and document production
- Construction Document and Administration, including drawing production and detailing, and coordination through construction construction administration
- Support with interior design specifications and industry standards, and familiarity with accessibility codes and sustainable design standards a plus
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of work experience in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Experience in design, document production and oversight, and construction phase services
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
- Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-up, Adobe CS, AutoCAD, Google Suite software and MS Office Suite
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and alongside team to meet budget and schedule
- Ability to independently juggle a variety of projects, clients and tasks
- A professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related discipline
- Sustainability accreditation a plus
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time (40 hours/week)
LOCATION: Hybrid - Mon/Tues/Wed in our San Francisco office, Thu/Fri remote
SALARY RANGE: $75,000-$90,000 annually
All TEF staff work in-person at our office on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are flexible workdays that allow staff to work remotely. TEF is an equal opportunity employer.
